Do I have to have any experience or musical background ?

No, you do not. There are hundreds of DJ's that never touched a musical instrument and they are able to successfully DJ. When you work 1-on-1 with DJ4LIFE instructor you are guaranteed to learn.

Can you explain how your class schedule works ?

Your first lesson will take place at the instructor’s home studio. As soon as you register and pay online, we will reach out to you to arrange a time for your first lesson. Usually your first lesson will be arranged within 7 - 10 days and you will meet weekly after that.

Do I have to have my own equipment ?

No, you don’t. You are taking lessons to find out what equipment you feel most comfortable with. You just need to show up to class. If you like to purchase equipment we will make a recommendation and work with your budget, etc. Sometimes our instructors would even go with a student to a local store and help them purchase it.

How old do you have to be to attend DJ4LIFE?

We accept all ages but if you are less then 18, you will have to attend with a parent or legal guardian.

What is the single most important benefit of attending DJ4LIFE ?

We teach you 1-on-1 so you can pace yourself, ask questions and learn every detail that would get lost in a group environment. We also feature best local instructors, and provide you with the opportunities to spin live as part of our lessons. Networking is our great asset, and you can meet DJ's and instructors in other cities and often spin and participate in events in all cities that we have a presence even Internationally. What do you recommend as first step ?

For only $16 you can watch our powerpoint slides/ voice video DJ'ing A to Z. This 60-90min video explains in detail various aspects of becoming a DJ, we will discuss advantages of equipment, learning process, technology and marketing and business aspect. It's a very useful summary and instructions. At the end there will be a quiz to test your knowledge. If you have time to watch and learn then sign up now.

Do you teach all kinds of music ?

Our specialty is electronic dance music (EDM) but we can show you basics that will work in every type of a music. We want to train you to the point where you are comfortable to spin on your own and any type of music, so you can get out there and get those gigs.

What happens after I complete all the levels ?

When that day comes, you are a true DJ ! You will be ready and comfortable to spin on your own as well as at our events. You have mastered the skills and have a mentor. At DJ4life we want you out there spinning live.

Do you offer a certificate diploma at DJ4LIFE ?

Yes, A certificate is awarded to students who complete all three levels, record a demo 45 minutes mix CD, and successfully complete a live DJing performance.
